The Save The Honest Miller Group is looking to raise enough money to cover a detailed commercial survey of The Honest Miller pub and land. This would be done by a specialist surveyor, recommended by the Plunkett Foundation, who has undertaken over 200 reports on public houses for community groups in the last five years.

 

The report, which would be completed using the Valuation - Global Standards ('red book') as specified by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, would include everything from the condition of the property through to the market value, and just as importantly, the value to us as a community taking into account how we wish to operate the business.

 

We would use this information to make a sensible offer for The Honest Miller pub and land (which is entirely covered by the ACV), based on its future use as a public house and taking into consideration its current, deteriorating condition.
